Trial Lessons
We're happy for your first lesson to be a trial to ensure that you're happy to learn with us.
Tuition Commitment
We recommend that school children commit to 1 full school term of lessons, but we're happy to be flexible with casual lessons where possible. If you would like to book lessons for you or your child on a more casual basis, just let us know!
Payment
All fees will be invoiced to the parent of the child student, or to the adult student themselves, via email.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made via academy88music@gmail.com
All cancellations must be advised before the day of the scheduled lesson, otherwise the lesson will be forfeited. We will always endeavour to provide a make up lesson where possible, but reserve the right to retain the lesson fee for same day cancellations.
Teacher Cancellation
As we're all working professionals in the music industry, there may be times where an important gig will clash with lesson times. In the event that the student's lesson is cancelled by the teacher for any reason, students will be guaranteed a make up lesson at a time that suits both the teacher and the student.
Sickness
Lessons can be moved to an online format in the instance that a student is feeling well enough to participate from home. Otherwise, we will attempt to schedule a make up lesson at a time suiting both the teacher and the student.
Lateness
We are often unable to extend lesson times due to student lateness, as we have other lessons and commitments. Any time missed may be forfeited in this instance.
Refunds
Please note that it is the policy of Academy 88 to offer make up lessons. Refunds will not be provided.
Student Safety
All teachers hold aa current Working With Children Check which includes a National Police Check (criminal history record check). While it is standard practice for us to work with students in a one-on-one capacity, please feel free to pull up a chair and wait in the studio if this is your preference. We also have a small hallway outside the studio where you are able to wait for your child.
Jess also holds a current First Aid Certificate and we have a first aid kit at the studio. Please note we will never administer medication, including panadol and ibuprofen, without parental consent.
